The one and one-half mile route travels west on Minnesota St. to Second St., south on Second St. to Mill St., crossing the bridge to the fairgrounds, where the Cannon Valley Fair concludes its 2010 run.

Registration forms have been mailed as the Cannon Valley Fair Association again prepares for its Independence Day parade.

Everyone is welcome to attend the fair from Wednesday, June 30 through fireworks on the Fourth of July.

Many of the events, including the parade, are successful through generous donations which may be included with registration.
Further information and sponsorship details are available by contacting the fair office, at 263-3548 or Stephanie Fox at CFParade@hotmail.com. In addition, registration forms may be picked up at the Beacon office during business hours, Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Floats entered in the parade are judged on group participation, creativity, effort, and appeal to viewers, and are eligible for cash prizes.
If animals or music are part of, or included with, a float, the Fair Association should be notified so that line up will be safe for all. Proof of vehicle and animal insurance is required and may be included with an entry form.
